  • Trump’s press conference will feature our Cabinet members.
  • “We should also charge tariffs,” Karoline Leavitt said.

The White House warned on Monday that the country engages in “unfair” trade practices against the U.S. imposed tariffs.

White House spokesman Karoline Leavitt announced at a press conference on Monday that President Donald Trump will announce his tariff plan on Wednesday.

“Any country that treats the American people unfairly should receive tariffs on Wednesday,” Levitt said in a press conference, highlighting the Trump administration’s commitment to reciprocity trade measures.

She refused to provide any other details.

The upcoming press conference will feature members of the U.S. cabinet and will detail the government’s strategies for measures it considers unfair trade imbalances.

Leavitt stressed that tariffs are designed to protect American workers and end practices that harm the U.S. economy.

“Wednesday will be the U.S. Independence Day,” Levitt said. “President Trump is in the best interests of American workers.”

Levitt stressed the Trump administration’s concern for domestic economic interests, while also pointing out that “high tariffs from other countries are unfair to Americans” and that the United States should also collect tariffs in the same way.”

It is worth noting that when potential exemptions for specific sectors such as farmers are questioned, Levitt said: “There is no exemption at this time.”

A White House spokesman also acknowledged the possibility of announcing an “alternative tariff” suggests potential flexibility in the government’s approach.
