Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump threatens Iran’s explosion and secondary tariffs Sunday if Tehran does not reach a deal with Washington on its nuclear program.

In a telephone interview NBC News, Trump said, we are talking with Iranian officials, but there is no detailed description.

“If they don’t reach an agreement, it will explode,” Trump said. “But if they don’t reach an agreement, I’ll impose secondary tariffs on them like I did four years ago.”

During his first 2017-21 term, Trump withdrew the U.S. from a 2015 agreement between Iran and the world’s major powers, imposing strict restrictions on Tehran’s controversial nuclear activities in exchange for sanctions relief.

Trump has also reimposed full sanctions. Since then, the Islamic Republic has far exceeded consistent restrictions in its escalating plans for uranium enrichment.

So far, Tehran has rejected Trump’s warnings to reach a deal or face military consequences.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi was said by officials that Iran responded to Trump through Oman’s letter, urging Tehran to reach a new nuclear deal. irna News Agency Thursday.

Western powers accuse Iran of having a secret agenda to develop nuclear weapons capabilities by enriching uranium to high levels of fission purity, which is beyond what they say is justified for civilian atomic energy programs.

Tehran said its nuclear program is for civilian energy purposes only.
