U.S. President Donald Trump presided over his first White House Ramadan Ramadan dinner for his second term and thanked “thousands” of Muslim Americans for their support during the 2024 presidential election.

“Just like we were in the Islamic Holy Month of Ramadan, let me start to talk to our Muslim friends – Ramadan Mubarak said,” Trump said in a state restaurant.

Muslim community leaders, including Pakistani Rizwan Saeed in the United States and government officials, including diplomats and government officials, participated in the White House event.

Trump said the Muslim community “was us there in November”, referring to last year’s election and vowed to “serve you.”

He added: “We are delivering on our promises to the Muslim community. My government is relying on relentless diplomacy to build lasting peace in the Middle East, on the historic Abrahamic agreement, and everyone says it is impossible and now we will start filling them.”

The Abraham Agreement is a series of agreements that signed normal relations between Israel and several Arab countries during the presidency of the former Trump.

“Even though the Abraham Agreement is important, we have four great nations and nothing happens. But I think it will be filled in very quickly. People are already talking about it. They should have done it a long time ago. They should have done it.”

He later added: “We just want peace.”

Many in the community voted against then-Vice President Kamala Harris’ protests against Biden administration’s support for the October 7, 2023 attacks in retaliation against Israel’s war on Gaza. Some also praised Trump for orchestrating the ceasefire, even before he entered the White House.

Trump has vowed several times to end the conflict and reached a ceasefire shortly before taking office in January.

However, Israel resumed its offensive earlier this month on besieged coastal enclaves, killing hundreds of Palestinian attacks. In the tragedy that took place, Trump has stood with Israel and is trying to provide billions of dollars in new military aid to the country.

He also raised the controversial people and took ownership of Gaza and replaced the approximately 2 million Palestinians who lived there in order to develop the territory in his image. The proposal has been widely put into practice.
