Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump pays Good Friday, threatening to revoke security permits from his predecessor, Joe Biden and several former White House and national security officials.

The list of names stripped of its mandate includes Biden, his family, and former vice president and Trump rival Kamala Harris.

Former Secretary of State and defeated presidential candidate Hillary Clinton were on the list along with Biden’s Secretary of State Anthony Wink and National Security Adviser Jacob Sullivan.

In a memo to the head of the agency and distributed by the White House Communications Office, Trump said the designated officer should no longer be allowed to use confidential materials.

“I hereby direct every executive department and agency leader … to revoke any active security permits held by the above individuals,” Trump said.

“I also direct all executive departments and agency leaders to revoke access that was not followed to obtain U.S. government facilities from these people.”

Traditionally, former U.S. presidents and national security officials retain security permits as courtesy, which some find useful for hiring with private contractors.

But Trump continues to falsely claim that Biden planned to steal his lost 2020 election, and he remains angry at his predecessor and often lashes out.

Trump himself was investigated for violating security rules between his first term and second term and was storing classified White House documents in his Mar-a-Lago resort.

After Trump returned to the office, the investigation happened.

Many on Trump’s roster are high-profile political appointments by his Democratic former, but former Republican lawmaker and vocal Trump critic Liz Cheney was also appointed.

Fiona Hill is a British-born intelligence analyst targeted under the leadership of the Democratic and Republican administrations, including Trump’s White House adviser.

Her ranks were also joined by former colleague Alexander Vindman, a retired senior Kiev-born U.S. Army official who committed Trump’s foul after she expressed concerns about White House ties with Russia.
