Organizers expect about 1,200 demonstrations across the United States on Saturday since the government launched a swift effort to release conservative stamps on the government.
The protests in the hours ahead of “Turn Away!” will kick off, with hundreds of anti-Trump Americans living in Europe gathering in Berlin, Frankfurt, Paris and London to express opposition to Trump’s comprehensive transformation of U.S. foreign and domestic policies.
About 200 people (mostly Americans) gathered in Paris to listen to speeches and waving banners, ranging from “resisting tyrants” to “rule of law” to “free feminists, not fascism” and “save democracy.”
“We must express solidarity with all the demonstrations in a thousand cities today,” Foreign spokesman Timothy Kautz said in Frankfurt. Protester Jose Sanchez said Trump was a liar who was destroying American democracy.
The protests in the United States will give Trump opponents a chance to show dissatisfaction with Trump’s executive order.
“It’s a huge demonstration that conveys a very clear message to Musk and Trump and Congressional Republicans and all the allies that goose struggles, we don’t want their democracy, communities, our schools, our friends and our friends and neighbors,” Ezra Levin said.
The White House did not immediately respond to Trump or Musk’s request for comment.
According to the event’s website, about 150 radical organizations have registered to participate.
Events are planned in all 50 states as well as in Canada and Mexico. One of the largest gatherings in Washington National Mall is expected.
Trump returned to his office on January 20, adopting a series of executive orders and measures from other critics that align with the agenda outlined for the 2025 project, a firm conservative political initiative to reshape the administration and consolidate the presidential authorities. His supporters applauded the need to undermine the deep-rooted liberal interests.
White House Assistant Press Secretary Liz Huston raised questions about allegations from protesters’ allegations that Trump aims to reduce Social Security and Medicaid.
“President Trump’s position is clear: he will always protect social security, Medicare and Medicaid for qualified beneficiaries. Meanwhile, the Democratic stance is providing social security, Medicaid and Medicare benefits to illegal foreigners who will bankrupt these programs and crush older people in the United States.”
Most of Trump’s agenda is restricted by litigation, saying he is trying to fire civil servants, deport immigrants and reverse trans rights, bringing his power beyond his own.
The protest group said in a statement that opposing U.S. ally Israel’s military operations in Gaza and the Trump administration’s crackdown on campus protests will also participate in groups in Washington and plans to conduct a march.
At the beginning of Trump’s first semester in 2017, thousands joined the Washington Women’s March to show opposition.
Levin said protests were smaller this year, but activist leaders planned to unite for large-scale events.
