Saudi Arabia, UAE to celebrate Eid ul Fitr tomorrow as Shawwal moon sighted

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia announced on Saturday that it has seen the moon in Shoval and will celebrate Eid Ul Fitr tomorrow (March 30) (March 30).

According to media reports, the Moon Commission was summoned after Maghreb’s prayers and verified the sightings of the new moon, which marked the end of the fasting of Ramadan for 29 days.

Official statement from the Royal Court confirmed that Saturday is the last day of Ramadan and tomorrow (tomorrow, Sunday) will be celebrated with the Eid al-Fitr for the entire kingdom.

At the same time, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) also announced that Sunday, March 30, 2025, will be the first day of Eid UL Fitr.

Muslims celebrate Eid al-Fitr as Ramadan Ramadan, the ninth month in the Islamic calendar.

Similarly, other Middle Eastern countries, including Kuwait, Qatar and Iran, have also announced the sight of the Shoval moon, and will celebrate Eid tomorrow.

The country where the moon cannot see

Meanwhile, many countries officially announced that Eid UL Fitr will fall on Monday, March 31, 2025, as Shawwal Crescent Moon was not seen on Saturday night.

Oman officially announced that there was no Shoval moon, and Eid Ul Fitr will be celebrated on Monday, March 31.

Authorities in Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei and Australia confirmed the dates of work based on astronomical data and local lunar sightings.

In Bangladesh, the National Moon Witness Committee said that no crescent moon was seen, which made Ramadan day 30.

Indonesia also declared the first day of Eid on Monday after failing to observe the new moon of Shoval.

India is today on the 28th of Ramadan, hoping to see the moon on Sunday, thus celebrating Eid on Monday.

Malaysia’s International Astronomy Centre (IAC) confirmed that a new moon will be seen on Sunday’s naked eye and will be held on March 31.

Brunei follows the example, and the IAC has also confirmed that it will see the moon there on Sunday.

The Australian Fatwa Council also announced Eid on March 31, noting that the Shoval moon will be born in the eastern and western regions of the country after sunset on Saturday.
