Today is the first day of Eid, a time of traditional joy and celebration. But in Gaza, the sound of bombing and shells drowned out the call for prayer.
The children who once wore new clothes on this day were hungry and traumatized. People don’t feel safe and have no holiday meals. Since dawn today, Israel’s strikes continue to destroy communities.
Instead of gathering in the celebrations, people visited the graves of their loved ones in the early morning.
