Pakistan urges UNSC to act against Israeli aggression in Gaza, WB

Pakistan has called on the UN Security Council to take decisive action on Israeli aggression in Gaza and the West Bank.

Pakistan’s statement on the humanitarian situation in Gaza, Pakistan’s permanent representative is UN Ambassador Munir Akram strongly condemned Israel’s latest escalation, including the rebombing of Gaza and its systematic human assistance.

Referring to the expansion of Israel’s massive military operation Munir Akram said that daily military attacks, settler violence and illegal land annexation are part of a systematic effort to systematically cleanse the Palestinian people in the West Bank.

Munir Akram said a reliable political process would have to lead to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state within the pre-1967 border with Al-Quds as its capital.

According to local sources, Arab media reported that the Israeli military was shelling the northern part of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.

According to the Palestinian Information Center, Israeli Army helicopters also carried out “strong gunfire” east of Gaza.

Israeli fighter jets blew up a house near Tafa, east of Gaza, in the northern Palestinian enclave.

The attack killed at least five people and left several others injured.

In addition, Israeli military operations have been reported in various other areas across Gaza over the past few hours. These include shelling in Rafa City in southern Gaza, shelling near the Netzarim axis in central Gaza, and air strikes in southeastern Deir El-Balah in central Gaza.

So far, no casualties have been reported in these attacks.

Gaza’s Ministry of Health condemns Israeli forces’ damage to cancer hospitals. The ministry condemned the bombing of Türkiye-Palestinian Friendship Hospital as an “outrageous crime” committed by Israel.

The hospital was built by Turkiye, operated by local authorities as a cancer treatment facility and rebuilt Turkey’s $34 million donation in 2017, and was blown up by Israeli troops earlier today.

The ministry also said the hospital in the Netzarim Corridor near Salah Ding Street was used by Israeli troops as a command center in previous military attacks by Israeli troops in central and northern Gaza.

“The ministry stresses that crimes in this occupation are consistent with the systemic destruction of the health system and the completion of genocide incidents,” the statement said.
