The military refuted the false allegations, believing it had caused widespread atrocities as it fought against the multifaceted rebellion that occurred in the coup.

The rebels even accused the military of air strikes after the earthquake, and on Tuesday a major rebel coalition announced a unilateral ceasefire to help with relief efforts.

Millions affected

Officials said the two dogs were redistributed to provide emotional support to the families of the missing. The children patted the golden retriever wearing bright vests in the makeshift shelter while others whispered to them.

Chanpen Keawnoi said this gave his mother and sister missing.

“They said that as long as the dog continues to bark when he hears the signal, there may still be someone who is still alive,” she said.

The government is investigating the collapse and preliminary tests show that some steel samples at the site are not qualified.
