The head of UNRWA said at least 100 Palestinian children have been killed or injured every day in Gaza since Israel broke the ceasefire on March 18.
The medical director said there was no room for the Al-Ahli hospital in Gaza to view the casualties as the latest Israeli attack since dawn on Friday that killed at least 38 Palestinians.
Gaza’s Ministry of Health also said at least 1,249 people have been killed in Gaza since Israel resumed a massive strike after breaking into a ceasefire on March 18. The number of injured people is now 3,022 since the Israeli attacks restarted.
According to the ministry, the figures include 86 people injured in the past 24 hours and 287 people.
The ministry also reported that the overall death toll in Gaza has reached 50,609 since the war began on October 7, 2023.
Since that date, the number of injured people in Gaza has been 115,063.
The WAFA news agency reported that Israeli soldiers raided the towns of Kafr Ad-Dik and Burqin, located in the west of Salfit.
It quoted local sources saying Israeli forces fired on-site ammunition and sound bombs. No injuries.
The Israeli military launched its biggest attack on the occupied West Bank in decades in January. An estimated 40,000 Palestinians were forced to leave their homes amid the ongoing attacks.
In the past two weeks, Gaza has been displaced, “I declare to God that I live on the streets and there is no shelter here,” Hemam al-Rifi, 40, told Reuters news agency, noting that when his family was killed, the Gaza city school was killed by the Israeli shelter was a deadly attack by Israel.
