El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele said he had no intention of returning to Kilma Abreg Garcia, a man Reuters Report.

Buckley spoke at the White House with President Donald Trump, who denied his right to return to Abrego Garcia, despite a U.S. Supreme Court-backed order directed U.S. authorities to facilitate his return.

“This question is ridiculous. How can I smuggle terrorists into the United States?” Buckley said in line with the allegations from Trump officials, believing that Abreg Garcia has ties to the MS-13 gang, which his lawyers deny. According to a recent court ruling, no reliable evidence has been provided to support the allegation.

Trump, who is aligned with Bukele’s immigration policy, vowed to deport as many undocumented immigrants as possible to deport from El Salvador, praising Bukele’s criticism of alleged gang members. Many deportees, including Abrego Garcia, have been sent to the High Security Terrorism Incarceration Centre in El Salvador, which has been criticized for alleged human rights violations and the detention of innocent people without due process.

Attorney General Pam Bondi claims that if El Salvador agrees to the filing, the court order only requires us to cooperate. Secretary of State Marco Rubio further argued that foreign policy decisions depend on the president, not the judiciary.

Despite the orders of the lower court and the Supreme Court refused to stop the order, the U.S. government believes it has no obligation to ensure Abrego Garcia is released from Salvadoran custody. Abrego Garcia, who previously held a U.S. work permit, was deported by an immigration judge for fear of gang violence.

Protesters, including Abrego Garcia’s U.S. citizen wife, gathered outside the White House to urge Trump to comply with court instructions. “President Trump, take Kilmar home now!” the protesters announced.

Meanwhile, Bukele refuted concerns about mass incarceration, telling Trump: “They said we have imprisoned thousands, and I said we have liberated millions.” Praise Bukele’s crackdown on Trump replied: “Can I use it?”
